Week 4

This week we are working on narrative paragraphs. Tell me about something you brought with you from your country and why you brought that with you. Why is that item special to you?

  1. when i came to the USA. I brought clothes, perfumes, skin lotions, ring and some pictures.
    most important is ring to me. Because that was my mother gave to me when i finished army service. I went back to Korea in this summer. I remade ring and bring it to came back. It remind to me that I have family, friends and give more courages to me.

  3. About 6 months ago, I came to the U.S.A..
    I thought about what I need Before arrive in The United States. So what I need is camera, daily necessaries, English dictionary, clothes and some of my money.
    The special item is... absolutely English dictionary. An especial reason is that is everything to me. This thing will promote english development of me.

  4. Before I came to USA. I brought a lot of thing from my country. Because in my country have a lot of thing cost less than in U.S. An especially the stationery in U.S. very expensive, example a pencil or a pen in Thailand just cost 1 or 2 dollars per each but in here U.S. it is cost a lot. And one thing very important is soccer boots and soccer shirt. In Thailand very cheep and have many things about soccer for me shopping, that because soccer in Thailand fever more than U.S.

  5. I brought the USA many necessary things-clothes,glasses, bag, brush, my family pictures and so on.-from Korea. Although I brought somethings which were unnecessary in the USA, I brought the USA somethings. Those are text books of law and a code of laws! I have had criminal law, the code of criminal procedure and study of investigation, because I don't want to forget anything. My major dream is Interpol, so I have to study English and the subjects for police examination hard. These are very important to me, and very special item for my dream.

  6. I brought Japanese books from Japan. Because reading a book is the one of my hobbies, so I brought books which I have not read yet. I am reading those books now. Also I brought some Japanese foods because I heard that Japanese food is very expensive in the U.S. before I come here. Of course, I brought tools for studying English. I didn’t bring clothes so much because I am going to buy clothes in the U.S.!!

  7. I usually brought causual clothes, and cosmetics, and books.
    My books almost are English books. There are a Chinese study book, and Excel Practice book, a novel in Korea too.
    I prepared some medicines as my body is weak. Especially I often suffer from cold or stomach. Actually, my mother is a nurse, so she gave some important pills for me.

  8. i brought chinese book from china. i think for me important is a notebook. that notebook is my important friend with me went to buy in shopping mall in last day. when i miss my friend. i usually to see that book. i can remember that we are happy together.

  9. I brought a digital frame from China. It is important for me. It is a gift that my cousin gave me when I came to the United States. It have some pictures that with my parents and relatives, and these pictures also my cousin spent his time do it himself. These pictures recorded my grow up process and happy time. When I miss my parents I would see it, and I feel I with my parents together. I think it is the best gift which I received.

  10. I bougth personal computer from Japan. Not only the English but also the Japanese is because the usable thing thought that one is convenient. And I bought Japanese books and CD from Japan.Because I think that it is important to learn my country ,and life cannot miss the music for me.

    it's very important for me because when I was
    6 years old in christmas, my granmom gave to me. I alwasy sleep with the pooh.
