Week 3

It was so interesting for me to read about the surprising things you found about living here and interacting with Americans. I'm glad that most of them have been surprising in a good way and not a bad way! Our next paragraph will be a narrative paragraph. That's a paragraph that tells a story. For this week, tell us a short story about something that happened to you the first or second day that you were in the United States.

  1. When I was first day in the United States, I was so sleepy. It was jetlag. After sleeping I was hungry. I went to a restaurant, I made some mistakes. It was different from Korea restaurant. When I went to restaurant in the United States at first, I sat any empaty seat. Waiter was embarrassed, but he didn't appaear his feeling. My weird behavior continued. The restaurant in the United States has a private table waiter, but the restaurant in Korea doesn't have my waiter. I called any waiter loudly. Now, I look back into the past, It is a deep distrace. However, waiter was so kind and he explained me to the restaurant manner. Thanks to him, I did well. I didn't know how much I pay a tip, and a waiter informed me of how to calculate a tip. I pleased that I knew the new information of the United States.

  3. I arrived in the U.S. on March 28th. I was famished. So I said "Dad!! Let's have a big dinner!!" After, we are went to TGIF restaurant. I like to eat out. I went to T.G.I.F every weekend in Korea. I usually invites my family and friend. Also I had a part time jod in TGIF restaurant during seven months. I want to know a point of differance from Korea TGIF to America TGIF. I heard America TGIF is not good. But I was so satisfy to food and waiter service. There is little difference between Korea and America. Finally, I will enjoy their meal.

In Japan, I have a space for washing my body. It’s separated from bathtub. Next day my host mother took me to the SAL office by her car in order to proceed. I was surprised that there are many lanes.
